I listen to a little of everything, but some people just listen to rock alone and others listen to rap alone. They are so like locked out of everything else.

I've listened to about every kind of music,now I'm into ambient
and world music. You should listen to whatever you like.
Music to me is like food,why eat the same thing every day
when there is such a variety.

Some people are accustomed to one genre while others are able to listen to just about anything. To be honest, it is the people that surround you that help in determining that. For instance, 8 years ago, I hated country, rap, and alternative with a passion... and now I love alternative music, am a HUGE fan of Lil Kim, and can stomache country music. I'm still a huge techno freak... and I think a little of that rubbed off on my friends too...

I listen to all types of music, except rap. A person needs to be exposed to different things in order to know what they like or dislike. You won't know what's out in the world unless you open up and explore.

I don't see why not, I am a lot like you. I listen to rap, rock, a little country, punk, emo, everything except jazz and classical.

i listen to a little bit of everything, because i really enjoy music as a whole and not just certain types. the only thing i can't handle is yodeling. omg! what a h e l l i s h sound.

I have a huge range of music tastes.
I love classic rock and roll, led zep, pink flloyd etc...
I love the stones and the beatles
I love modern britpop (think oasis and blur)
I love house music
I love folk music!
I think when your younger your pressured to fit into one 'group' but if everyone was honest you'd see everyone can like a wide range of music

I am like you in that I will give most music a chance, I like rap, metal, opera, classical and a little bit country, oh and smooth jazz too!

it is up to ppl on what they want to listen to, no they aren't locked out of everything else it is just there personal preference.

No it all depends upon their surrounding environment.
In some areas, most of the people are very fond of hearing gana songs. Some are interested only western. Some others like to hear melodies bcz they have some tension in their mind.Think of ourselves, if we are very happy, we like to hear fast beat songs. It all depends upon our concentration. similarly, in the night that is while going to sleep, we like to hear slow melodies.

Very true, its mainly close-mindedness on their part. So while its possible that every can listen to any kind of music, they won't.
