Depends on how the survey was conducted. First you have to come up with questions that are relevant to that particular culture, or questions that help you pinpoint answers that only that culture would answer.
If you are conducting surveys in person, you pretty much know what the culture is you are trying to research, so there isn't any problem in finding the people you want. If you conduct the survey by mail, you have to make sure your questions are pretty specific as you don't have that same control as to where or who answers the surveys.
