I don't think it matters how "old" your skin is, wart removers can be found at your local pharmacy. Check with your pharmacist on the most effective.

I got Wartiner for the chemist its £10 to buy but really good , it freezes the wart and is painless and i used it and it has never came back believe me i used everything from a old wives tale to getting a script from the doctor and it was the only thing that worked with out it reappearing

Tie a hair round it tight and leave it for a week or so, the wart will die and drop off. Trust me, it works, I've done it myself.

if its old skin just your a pumice stone or the like and it will go away

if your mum loves you ask her to buy it from you. when i was 9 my mum offered me 2p for mine, i accepted thinking weirdo, within three weeks mine disapeared and my mum got a new one. now that is love!
