I enjoy both but have more experience with dogs. I also tend to prefer them simply because I like that a dog needs you. Cats are far more independent (obviously it varies a bit from kitty to kitty, but as a rule...) and only want affection when they're in the mood. A dog loves and wants your attention all the time (which is precisely the reason my boyfriend prefers cats).

I prefer cats! I have two of my own. They are quieter than dogs, they don't smell as much as most breeds of dogs, they are independent, and I dont have to take them outside to use the bathroom, I can leave for a day or two and not worry about my cats and I love how mine love attention but not 100% of the time.
My husband loves dogs! I don't hate dogs, but they require more time than I'm able to give them and I dont care for the dog smell that most breeds have naturally, and I don't have time to keep giving attention to a dog that wants attention.

I am a dog person all the way, but I live with two cat people. So we have two of each.

I like better dogs cause cats are quite and dogs are loud and active to play with!

I am a dog person all the way.
Not a cat hater though either. Just would prefer if they didn't roam freely, walk on and spray my car, and leave me dead critters.

I love dogs!! My husband is a cat person... really should have discussed that one before marriage! ehhe
I win though cause I am the one that cleans everything. I have 2 bullmastiffs amazing dogs!!!

I've had rabbit before but never cat or dog knowingly. There was this one burrito place though. (Gooood dog!)
