Yes,you're so right.America stands together whit the axes of evil and some other great friends as China on this issue.
the death penalty is barbaric and therefor most countries abolished it.It appeals to the lowest emotions of humans, revenge,an eye for an eye and sensation.
I believe as most European democracy's do that society must always take the high road where possible. The primary goal of a civilized judicial system should be the protection of citizens, not the satisfaction of animal like feelings that are in many cases understandable but still wrong and primitive.
Emotions should play no part in any judicial verdict, the law must seek justice, not revenge.

To answer this question, I would like to ask you in which cases the death penalty is imposed? when someone is killed deliberately, when there is a theft accompanied with killing, when some one betrayed his country, and in some countries when some one smuggles drugs and narcotics inside. So, when we take a look at these cases don't we find the sense and the logic to eliminate these people who committed these crimes from the society? Don't we think that when a person take a life of another that he has no right to do so, and in return he should himself be eliminated from this world? Thus, I would say it is a vice Vera here, the civilized countries aree the ones who impose the death penalty and the others ar the non-civilized, not barbarian. Believe me, think it over and see how the community would turn out to be and the people would feel more saver and secured knowing that who ever would have the guts to commit such an act would be penalized equally.

Oooh oooh I know pick me pick me.

It is because you use weather or not a country has the death penalty to determine if it is barbaric or civilized. Since you clearly are using that as your standard then it has to be that way.

I like how south Africa is civilized because it does not have the death penalty. Ignore the genocide and mass killings that happened there. I don't get it.

Cambodia has had a very civilized recent history. all that violence who needs fair elections anyway.

Japan they are a bunch of evil barbarians i guess. Just like the united states.

I guess Europe did not get civilized until the EU got rid of the death penalty.

I think you should look at the list of who has it and who does not then look at the history for say the last 15 years in those places. Or at least since they got rid of the death penalty. i put a link to a list of who has the death penalty and who does not in sources.

What do you mean by barbarian country? Some countries you might consider barbarian do not have death penalty. Russia for example outlawed the death penalty but the USA still has it.

I'm not sure that not having the death penalty is recognized as civilized or that having the death penalty isn't civilized. I certainly find the death penalty a reasonable punishment.

LOL barbarians don't need a death penalty. They just take people out and shoot them. Frankly if I had to choose between life in prison in mexico and the death penalty in the U.S. give me death!

Because "civilized" countries are full of bleeding heart liberals that think that there are no truly bad people in the world that deserve due punishment for their behavior. Whereas in the barbarian countries, they know evil when they see it and know what to do about it.

Hehe, I like the way you call America a barbarian country. But I guess it’s because in civilized countries liberal parties have more of a say whereas in less developed countries they are more stamped out.
