There are all kinds of glues out there : epoxy, polyurethane etc. I have a marble statue (pi xiu - chinese mystical dragon/animal) with a broken leg. The marble is heavy, looks soft and flaky at the broken surface and I think will chip easily.

What glue is best for fixing it back (best)?

Go see your local marble shop- ask them to sell you a small pint or the smallest size marble glue they have. The glue will be translucent in color. If you bring the broken leg, you could even ask them to bring the glue to the back of the shop and have one of their workers tint it properly.

This is a two part glue, one in a can the other is a small toothpaste like container.

Make sure the pieces you are gluing fit in properly.
Mix a small amount of resin (can) with a touch of hardener (toothpaste tube).
Apply the mix to the broken area and squeeze the piece in place. Wipe the excess immediately and manage to tape the leg to the statue during drying time.

when its dry you can remove some smudgy residue with a little acetone.

Use epoxy marble gum/glue, or try to use alcrylic glue if its not actually marble, it will stay for life.

Because it is from China it is PROBABLY not marble but recycled goat vomit which is crystallized in ponds from battery plants...in other words ....its actually living bacteria that has assumed the shape of PI XIU.....please remember CHINESE people love dragons and also goat vomit....it has a very nice natural green color from the diet of grasses it eats near the settling ponds. TO heal the statue get a umbelical cord from a burro and tie it arounf the "broken" leg...wait for th next full moon and bury it in your garden. The burro umbelical cord will "REGROW" the leg. This is elementary stem cell research and please do not try this with a living dragon. thank you ...
