Im 13 and im a cheerleader
do you think cheerleading is hot?
Or is it stupid?

My twin daughters are cheerleaders and they take it very seriously - they've already been to a state competition.
They work very hard, and they consider it a sport since they do a lot of aerials (gymnastics) and aerobics.
As a football coach, cheerleading gets the fans motivated to support the team. The players feel great knowing they've got fans behind them ...not to mention cute girls cheering for them.
It's a tradition in football and an 80s gimmick for Basketball - thanks to the likes of Paula Abdul and company (she was a cheerleader and choreographer for the Lakers)
It's awesome to be involved in and it's a great social outlet.
Never could you call it stupid.

by the way...when you're 18 you can try out for NFL Europe teams twice a year - and those ladies ARE HOT!.

I'm 13, and as a cheerleader myself, I believe it builds other important skills. Teamwork, muscle power, will, determination, and confidence. Also, cheerleaders are NOT stupid. You must be alert at all times or you might be putting another girl's life at risk. I'm a base... each time I throw the flyer in the air I have a mini heart attack.
It's a dangerous sport, but it builds fundamentals you will use your whole life. That said, cheerleading is not a waste of time.

I think cheerleading can be a sport, but I do think it is very stupid. It's meant to pump up the crowd, and cheerleaders almost never do that. Who does that? The band. So yes, sorry, cheerleading is stupid.

I really don't know. I suppose it helps the morale of the team. I've been to a lot of football games and the cheerleaders haven't really been noticeable to me. If it is something that you want to do, then go do it. Don't ever let someone else's opinion keep you from doing something positive that you like.

Frankly I think it is kind of stupid.
Especially when it's CFL cheerleaders and it's November in Calgary. Cheerleaders in winter parka's just doesn't work.

i think cheerleeding at games is kinda of stupid
but competive cheerleading takes a lot more work and strength
but if like it dnt worry about what other [people think
i also have kwon cheerleaders to be mean- dont be like that

I don't think cheerleading is stupid. To me cheerleading can be one of the best experiences of your life. You meet new people, make a lifetime of friends, and know that when you are down you have your teammates to pick you up. Of course it takes alot of hardwork, dedication, talent, and time, but if it is something you love to do keep doing it, I love doing it and I believe that it is changing me into a better person. So keep it up, cheer!!

im a 13 year old cheerleader and i LOVE it i dont think its stupid at all! people say its a waste of time... but what else would you be doing during the games? sitting at home? THATS a waste of time! if you like it it doesnt matter what other people think! just have fun!
