Drycleaning works best for this. Gas has oil in it so you need to get the oil out to get the smell out. If you are not able to take them to a drycleaning, try soaking them in Dawn dish soap and hanging them outside in the sun

My dad used to always have the smell of gasoline or diesel on his clothes. Mom would wash them. Do not wash them with other clothes or the smell will transfer and then she would hang them outside to dry.

used laundry soap or uderd vinegar to remove the smell or used kalamansi. to remove the smell.

I used to wash my husband's oily smelly work clothes by adding washing soda to the wash water, in addition to detergent, dryer sheets, etc. Worked pretty well.

use plenty of rose water while washing it. dilute it in the water in which you gonna put your clothes.
