Lie dawn in a darkened room. Breathe slowly in and slowly out, for a count of 4 seconds .both ways. Relax. Then while you're breathing in, imagine that the air is flowing into your head where the headache is. It's nice and cool and soothing, really feel it cooling your throbbing head. Do this for a while, and see how much better you feel. If you can do it before going to sleep it would be good, because you'd get a good night's sleep too . Aspirin is bad for your stomach, so if you can find other ways of dealing with pain you're well ahead. I had a friend who had bad pain and nausea with cancer and it's treatment, and I used similar techniques to help her deal with the pain and get some sleep. (We often did it over the phone, and she would fall asleep, and I had to guess that's what had happened and hang up :) ! She recovered and is "in remission" now. (A terrible phrase because it implies that it's going to come back again.) Drs. may know a lot, but they don't know everything.

Believe it or not most common headaches are caused by dehydration. When you get a headache if you simply drink about 3 glasses of cool water the headache will go away....
Drink plenty of water. Water is the most important substance that your body needs. If you are not drinking enough water, you may suffer from a dehydration headache.
For a person to remain healthy he or she must drink at least ten glasses of water a day. If your intake of water is less than this then by all means drink more water.
Water is indeed the elixir of life. The more water you drink, the better you will feel. If you do not drink enough water, the water balance of the body will be completely disrupted. Make no mistake about this. Te major content of all the cells in your body is indeed water. And when your body does not get enough water, it will end up dehydrated. This will invariably result in a headache.

Put an ice pack on the back of your neck, lie back and close your eyes. Also, there is a pressure point in the fleshy area between your thumb and forefinger. Pinch there as hard as you can stand it for 5 seconds, let go, do it again, let go. Do this about 15 times and you will be surprised... it works!
