Yes, I've read them all. I tend to get the stories confused with the titles but if memory serves me right, Persuasion is my favorite. I liked that heroine the most because she seemed to have the richest inner life & she was a little different from the other heroines because she wasn't as outgoing & cocky as some of her other heroines (such as Emma). I also really liked Pride & Prejudice because I think that one has more witty reparte than the other ones.

I've read them all, I like Mansfield Park for the character of Fanny Price, she knows exactly who she is and what she wants unlike a lot of Austen's characters. Pride and Prejudice is great for seeing how important 1st impressions can be and Elizabeth Bennet has some great lines. My fave is Emma though the character of Mr Knightley is brilliant he's the perfect gentleman.

I've read them all, many, many times. My favourite is Pride and Prejudice because it shows just how vulnerable women can be when you rely on men for your security. sure, our society is sexier today - or more open about it - but the way people behave is just the same.

"Pride & Prejudice" is one of my very favorite books ever. It's a wonderful love story with a strong female character -- a rarity for books of that period.
It always takes me a bit to acclimate to the language, but once I do, I can never put it down.
