What are you on about??? It's elephants, dummy! The giraffes don't have vocal chords so can't call for the ball or shout "man on" (or "elephant on").

Added to that - you must have seen Peter Crouch play - just because your head is above everyone else's doesn't mean you are good in the air.

Now an ice-age match between woolly mammoths and sabre-tooth tigers looked great on paper. Problem was the game was called off due to a frozen pitch.

The elephants would be the better goalkeepers, but I'm gonna stick my neck on the line (hahahaha) and go with the giraffes.

The problem with the elephants being, that if they stood on the ball, they'd just burst it, and yet apparently giraffes have quite a nifty kick, so I reckon they'd have to be the favourite.

That is, if they manage to get the ball past the elephant in goal and into the net. Elephants are quite slow, though, so the giraffes could kick the ball through the elephants legs and into the net before the elephant had time to move it's hefty body..

See where I'm going here?? Thats why football players can't be overweight!!!

I think elehants would be pretty good with a ball, are we talking about footwork ? i think the elephant would have a powerful kick and work well as a team, where as the giraffe would have the advantage of being fast and a bit more agile,
so in conclusion i think it would be very close maybe a draw ?
could we have some chimpanzees as cheerleaders as well ?

neither of them, the giraffes wouldn't be able to see the ball and there's a massive time delay to their feet because of the huge distance between their feet and brains, and the elephants can just sit in goal and block any shots without moving. If they tried to kick the ball they'd pop it though so the whole thing's kinda pointless.

elephants...their poo is about the same size to substitute as the ball, and that would probably scare the giraffes away...
