My tenant leaves every morning around six and slams the door leaving for work. I''ve asked that he keep hold of it till it closes and he just forgets.

I suggest that you get a door closer that slows the door down hydraulically (I suspect you have a spring) That will help slow down the speed that the door closes.

You should be able to adjust the pressure on the door, but if you cant, there is wather guards that are a kind of strips, they look like long brushes, you can get them at home depot.

yes you need a door CLOSER that slowly closes the door. or you can just educate them that you shouldn't slam a door!

When he is not home, take a screw driver to his house and adjust the screw on the end of pneumatic closer.

maybe try some self sticking weather strip, very inexpensive.
