My ex and I split 5 years ago after a 7 1/2 year relationship due to the pressure that my partners mates put him under, calling him under the thumb because we were more or less "married off". Now however, the tables' turned and my ex is all alone and all his mates are co-habiting or married.

I feel that now he is feeling the pressure to find someone to be with but although its been 5 years since we split he hasn't had a girlfriend since.

What should I do?

I dont see that you should do anything. This guy left you because his mates told him too, do you really want a man back in your life that could drop you like a hot potato whenever his friends whistle? Many men are teased by there mates when they settle down but ignore them, find someone else you deserve respect xxx

Do you want him back?? Do you want to marry him?? He probably does sense some pressure now that all of his friends are settling down and he threw away the one good thing he had. However, its not your job to make sure that your long lost ex is happy with his life. He chose to split. You should move on.

be a good friend and if evolves to something better and you both like it then it's good but if he is only pressured to be with another then it's better not to try, and if he hasn't had a girlfriend since you then maybe the one is you and regreting leaving you

If you still want him get him, but make sure he will be with you beecause he loves you, not just because you are an easy grab

I think you should talk to him, he sounds like a good guy.
