Both can sing. Both can rock your world up-side down.. But who is the BEST?

It would not be fair to rate either as a better singer than the other, due to they each have different types and styles of voices for the songs that they sing.
While Whitney's voice may be more pleasing to listen to on the majority of her songs, Mariah has the voice to sing higher octaves, while at the same, can get a bit "yelping" at times.
An example would be her song "Emotions". Throughout the song, Mariah's voice can become a bit irritating, but towards the ending of the song she then hits the different octaves just to show the range that she does have, making the song worthwhile to listen to.
I like to enjoy each for the performances that they give.

Whitney by far. She has a stronger voice than Mariah. Her voice doesn't get into that screecy range like Mariah's does.

Mariah voice can withstand the change of time while whitney is more of a classic history. Being able to change is impt. Juz like Madonna .

whitney houghston i think was the better but they both have had troubled times mariah seems to have the stronger character
