recently i realized that i do carry a couple of stereotypes, drilled in my head by my parents....
i did not even know i harbored these feelings
i was at the beach talking to a Vietnamese woman (my father is a war veteran and i must say, he is CRAZY)
so i was talking to this woman and lunatic ideas were going through my head...it actually took me a few minutes to realize she was HUMAN..it was really pathetic, I was pathetic
so i told her, i confessed what was going on in my head, and I asked her to forgive me.

The more friends you have from different cultures...the more you will discover people are people no matter where you go. They learn from you...you learn from them. It can truly broaden your horizons and help you to feel connected to a sense of something greater than yourself. I don't want everyone to be just like me...it keeps it more interesting...and I learn so much.
