very famous meeting between marilyn monroe and albert einstein. In which children were discussed. Albert relayed how he would neva have children through marilyn afta she cooed out ^^wouldnt it be great if we had children and they had my looks and ur brains^^. Why he said^^ because there is an equal chance they could have my looks and ur brains and i could never do that to humanity.

Well I'm already beautiful and smart. hehe
But if that dilemma was forced upon me and there was no way for me to slip out of it, I'd choose ugly with a lot of brains.
With a lot of brains I'd either get a good make up that'll make me beautiful. Or I could make a lot of money and get plastic surgery. Or if that option was taken away from me, just like the other ones, I could read a lot of books and get real wise. And my honest and benevolent behaviour combined with a lot of knowledge, wisdom and the smartness (which I had in the first place) will make me real popular and beloved among people and make them forget about my apparent ugliness. Aristotle was very ugly, but very smart and we all love him instead of all the beutiful people that were his contemporaries.
In long term relationships it's mainly the beauty inside that counts rather than the exterior beauty.

Ugly but very smart. Once I get over the beautiful part what do I have besides a store window mannequin.
With someone that is smart I will have at least some good conversations.
thanks at least for the 2 points:)

Beautiful but no brains.
Both problems are correctible, through school, or plastic surgery, and while the smart one will make the cash for surgery, the dumb one won't enjoy school, so at first glance, the smart one's the most likely to improve...
But the smart one will become rich, get her surgery, become desirable, and start cheating on me. The beautiful one with NO brains won't think of going to school, and won't understand when other guys are hitting on her, so she'll be mine forever.
Although I'd kind of prefer a happy medium somewhere in between.

ugly but very smart as beauty is only skin deep! Too many people choose looks over personality these days why not be one of the people that aren't shallow when picking their boyfriends and girlfriends :D? Why would you want an airhead as a girlfriend or boyfriend? It would do my head in! Think about newlyweds nick and jessica, they split up and she isn't exactly clever is she? So ha! :P

neither sound very appealing.
first off, you're not insulting people when you say "ugly" you're insulting The One who created that person that you call "ugly"
I've been to enough places to know that in every place there are so many ideas of what is beautiful and what is ugly.
so let's call a spade a spade, and say "personally desirable"
second, what is smart?
a person could be by the world's standards VERY INTELLIGENT but by God's standard dumb as a rock.
if you ask me, I'll take a dumb ugly woman who knows, loves and obeys The Lord Jesus Christ from her heart over anyone on earth.

Beautiful without brain is a perpetual torture. Ugly but very smart is another torture. A middle course should be the choice.

Ugly but very smart, when you fall in love with someone you love everything about them and their looks will become irrelavant. I'm more attracted to personality, I love people that can stimulate my brain and I can have long converstaions. Beautiful with no brains would just bore me, for about two weeks it would be fun, but then I would grow to despise them.

ugly but smart. I consider myself to be an intelligent woman and I do not think I would be happy with someone who was semi-intelligent. Even if they looked like Matthew McConaughey. The old adage that "beauty is on the inside" is true. Beauty is superficial and fleeting. And yes, several people have told me that I was pretty, so this isn't to boost my self-esteem. :)
