Lieutenant Colonel Bill Kilgore played by Robert Duval. He was the commander of a Airborne Cavalry unit. He had the idea to play "Ride of the Valkyries" over loudspeakers as he bombed the seaside village to "scare" the natives.
It was in the movie, "Apocalypse Now," and was (to me) the highlight of the film, other than the USO show upriver.
He said Napalm in the morning "smells like .... vicktaree!" Then he ordered the surfer dude into the waves.
