It's really very unfortunate that Mahatma Gandhi did not get Nobel

I think Gandhi's stature was far above such awards. His preachings, his views and his leadership qualities made him above a normal human being. That's why we call him "Mahatma". He was the best leader the world has ever seen. Actually we should give "Gandhi Peace Award" to Mr Nobel instead.

It is not certain that every great people can get Noble Prize. For example,China hasn't a single Noble Prize winner yet although it has 1.3 billion people(some Chinese-American or something like this excluded). Can you say that among these large population,no one is qualified for this prize,of course not!So it can explain why Gandhi didn't get the prize in some way.

Most probably he was never worth it. But it is very difficult to accept the truth. If we have the courage to face the truth, then we will very honestly accept that the problem, India is facing now is rooted to the deeds and dealing of Gandhi.

He also might not have got it because of his (In my opinion) nutty ideas that Hitler could be changed to good and that the jews would win if they would martyred.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mohandas_Ghandi
This at a time when beating the Nazis was very celebrated and the horrors of what they did to the Jews was found out.
