Im doing a project on Influences of Global Events on Global Music. I need some references & websites. Anyone?

I intend to do it decade wise starting from the 1930's to present day. Its not a serious project but we're just tryin to create a link between certain events n theyre effect on the music from that decade. Id be really thankful if u helped. Thx
