300w power supply doesn't mean much. We need to know the output of all the voltages. One of the biggest factors you need to know is how much ram you have. I think it takes like 6 watts per hundred megs of system ram besides all your cdroms hard drives, sound cards etc. But ram is a big determinant of how much power supply you need. But you need to know how much output on the 3-5v 12 v ranges. But I thnk you'll be ok with a 300 watt on that system.

i would go for 400 at least preferrably 500 but a 300 watt will do it.
just depends how much of a load you want to put on your psu :)
these days u can get a 500 watt power supply for 20 quid so its not a major thing ...

Marginally, yes. BUT, I would suspect it to run a bit warm, and to fail in less than a year.
Get the most power you can afford! I see lots of 400 to 500 watt PSU's, for less than $40.00 at http://pricewatch.com and http://newegg.com and even in my local small computer stores!
Please, protect your system from AC power weirdness, like the typical 20,000 spikes each hour, and those brown-outs, by getting a UPS of about 650 VA (500 watts) which sell at about $50 or less, at the major Office Supplies, computer stores.
BTW, that AMD processor will run 8X faster, if you'll use a true 64-bit multi-tasking, multi-user OS like GNU/Linux or BSD!
http://distrowatch.com has 500 free downloads.
http://livecdlist.com has 309 LiveCDroms, free!... search out the 64 bit ones! They boot in CD, run in RAMdisc.

It should be. The box of my 64Mb card says "needs at least a 250 watt power supply". But check the specs of your card. it should mention the power supply somewhere.

More than enough for such a weak card and the rest of your system isn't that power hungry either. It's plenty for the system you have there.

300 Watts should be sufficient, Is there a particular problem that you're having with your video card??
