With more and more hollywood talent lending their skills to videogames, as well as the standardized rating of most games shifting towards T (Teen) and M (Mature), I don't think videogames is as much a "kid's stuff" business as it used to be.
I bet most of the people who say it is are women who simply just don't understand. Just like how us guys can't understand their fascination with Lifetime or Soap Operas.
That's what they do and this (videogames) is what we do. What can I say but Venus and Mars.

PS. If that sounded kinda sexist, I apologize. There are a lot of girls who are gaming too these days, but I can imagine that most likely it was a woman of some sort (mother?) who provoked you to ask this question to begin with.

not at all...its lots of fun to play video games...just don't get addicted!
