plot summary: Set in time near the revolution, a young boy (Robin) arrives in the colonies (new england) from England to seek the home of his kinsman, Major Molineux. Despite constant inquiries as to where to find this man (who was a childhood friend of his father's and) whom Robin has been sent, so as to be able to make a living now, and be a man on his "own" in the world. The rest of the night passes in gothic dreamlike fantasy, plenty of shadow, grayness and ambiguity of characters. One of which tells him to stay where he is and his kinsman (MM) will shortly appear. He does, followed and surrounded by a violent mob who have tarred and feathered him. Robin, obviously shocked and sombered my this event, asks to be shown to the ferry (to return home to england). He is denied such knowledge on this evening, but promised that if should decide to stay with the people, that he may "rise in the world without the help of your kinsmen, Major Molineaux."

Pretty much all the developments in metal of the last 10 years actually started in the early 90's, black metal started in the early 90's (I mean the Norwegian stuff, not Venom) the Gothemburg sound (Swedish metal) started in the early 90's, and when the US Americanized it, turned it into Metalcore, Math metal started in the early 90's pretty much solely by the band Meshuggah, Folk Metal was started in the early 90's by the band Skyclad, sooooo, nothing in the last 10 years is new, the only difference is that more money is being spent on the recording process because metal is becoming more commercially viable.
