is it morally ok to act immorally to protect a moral principle.
Can a country behave immorally to protect lets say its moral principle of freedom or to protect national security

Well, once upon a time it was considered immoral to participate in the underground railroad in helping slaves to freedom.

I'd consider the job the country was doing back then in protecting it's moral principle of freedom (that is, that "white is right") and only certain people were allowed it, was immoral.

It is impossible to act immorally morally. It is possible to act immorally or to act morally but not both at the same time. What you are getting at is a difference of perspective. That has nothing to deal with why you did something but rather how others judge what it was you did. You were moral but others found it immoral. That is a difference of opinion not fact.

Most of the time it has seems to be OK,
and you can see it in many historical scenes.

anyway - if the question is principle then it's NOT OK.
