When you are making the first contact with anyone, it is always good to say something about yourself openly and honestly. You could also say something about your interests and aspirations. Then it is possible for people to have some idea of who you are and what you are like. You are straightaway offering your e-mail address, which is a little too early and might make some even suspicious.
