Stop complaining and enjoy the nice weather - you're probably one of these people who complain in the winter about it being too cold. . . . . . .

I'll admit I complain when I'm cold but at least you can always put on more clothes, hot water bottle, electric blanket, light the fire etc. This hot weather has prevented me from sleeping well for well over a month now. No matter what I do I can't sleep properly! I sympathise with you completely. I hope it cools down soon as am moving to a non A/C office soon too. Also I'm getting married in September and would like it to be cooler for that! (sweat patches won't look too attractive in a wedding dress!)

what the negative people (esp from Hotter climates) fail to realise, is that this i the hottest summer we've had since 1911, Englanders werent born into hot weather, and it affects us physically, makes children miserable and we are not equipped for what feels like extreme temparatures to 'us',
when 'they' ...out of this country ...say its freezing... its usually only 17 or so over there, and to us, thats not even cold enough to wear a jacket,
i'm not angry with the weather, but i have had ENOUGH now, I prefer winter when you can add warmth.
Wed is set to be as bad as last week, then it supposedly drops...a little... i hear you on this one
ignore the angry people answering, some people have nothing better to do...funny how they slate you for being angry about the weather, yet reply angrily eh?

People that live in hot countries all the while tend to be angry all the while - look on the news. Maybe if they got bombed with ice cubes?

OH.MY.GOD!
I feel exactly the same way in this heat. I cant function, if i do its with great irritation to everything !
hate it, hate it, hate it!!!!
Anyway, with regard to your specific question, I understand we will have intermittent heatwaves for the next 2 weeks, then the weather will calm down to normal British summer time temperatures, so will still be hottish but no un-bearable in a fortnights time.

When the mercury (or alcohol) in the thermometer doesn't go as high as it did the day before, it will be colder there.

Meanwhile, your Page Three girls are taking more of their clothes off and it's really great that it's so hot in England for a change.
Now if you can all get your teeth fixed...
