No way. My wife should be strutting proudly and showing the world what she's got.
I work in Washington, D.C., and one of my greatest pleasures is to walk through the business part of town on a nice day and see all the women dressed up hot as a pistol--high heels, tight short skirts, tight blouses, make-up, etc. And when my wife comes downtown, I want her looking every bit as good as all the other women. Parity in hotness. I wouldn't want her swathed in black cloth and floating along beside me like a little black cloud.
Besides, we go out ballroom dancing--skimpy outfits, dancing with strangers, tight holds, swinging and swaying... No need for "accidants". As long as she comes home with me at the end of the night, then what's so horrible about my wife being exposed to strangers and even held by them. Dance is all about allure and flirting and displays of sexuality.
As long as there's a social consensus about proper behavior in these settings, then I don't see the harm with provocative clothing just by itself. As long as everyone understands the rules, even nude beaches are perfectly safe and harmless. I would hate to think we have to be ruled by the fear of looking at each other. Hell, at my age (middle age), the women look at me as much as I do at them. Some of those old divorcees are pretty predatory. But as long as they understand the rules...
Meanwhile, if the consensus breaks down, then I don't think a couple yards of black cloth are going to be much help.

Does the same apply to lawful husbands? What if all other women see what they want to an maybe touch by accident what they desire to touch on the male?
When the weather is very hot a woman is not allowed to wear clothes to make her less hot and must cover her head as well.
Why is it that the man does not have to abide by these rules as well?

There is alot of scope between both pionts, like there is a big difference between wearing a low cut top and 'accidently' sleeping with each other.
I believe that a faithful wife should be trusted to wear what she wants. having said that, if she is continually continually wearing revealing clothes and behaving strangly, she has given reason enough to doubt that trust.
Also is she desires to touch another man, then i think one should be wary in making her your wife.
I think that having your wife wear traditional Islamic clothes ( forgive me i don't know it's proper name) is not something i would do. I think that thats what you are asking in essence. I think that that is more a matter of faith more than anything else.
Having said that i wouldn't want my wife "showing off her goods" to anyone but me.I wouldn't want her in a mini skirt and singlet top parading around, flaunting herself. jeans and a shirt or something is fine. if the weather is hot, shorts. I wouldn't care to much, i think it is behaviour as well as what she wears that causes an issue.
So there there are my thoughts, do i agree wiuth you? I think i do, kinda.

I think hiding behind things in a modern day society is quite mad, but then again going out on a saturday night and seeing some of the things young women wear is quite mad too. In the end I think its absolutley nothing to do with the guy as the women is not his, shes not a possesion that you have to hide incase someone looks at her and tries to steal her. So yes if the women chooses to wear these clothes because it makes her more comfortable in the street I agreee with it, but if a man makes the women wear it, or even puts preasure on the women to wear it, then he is abusing her, no one should have to do anything against their own will.

I am sure every husband want only their wife for themselves. We can do that at home.
U know, we r in a society that act/move faster than our thoughts. It has become inevitable to 'expose' ourselves due to the continuous changes of the environments.
Example, in a crowded train, we r packed like sardines. We cannot escape this.

what the husband prefers in our society isn´t decisive. we believe in the concept of sexual self-determination, which averts that we as boy friends or husbands are able to give our beloved girls or wifes inescapable instructions. we have to seek mutual consent, in every sense, also if we entered a marriage.

yes! I agree u.
I do feel, there should have something restricted only between husband and wife. If those restrictions are shared, then why I need to marry a wife/life partner.

i am proud of my wife and dont want to cover up the beauty that God gave her.she will only show me the good parts.if your man is ashamed of you he can wrap you in a burkah, but if he is proud of his beautiful wife he would want to show her to the world....and there are no accidents..you must have trust or you have nothing...
