if you have a clean driving record. no preventable accidents and or speeding tickets the past 3 years you should be OK. when you go for an interview make it clear you have a felony and you story your a good boy now and if you don't get hired. go to your local e.e.o.c and file a complaint. maybe the e.e.o.c can get you a job. their might also be a law on the bots either d.o.t or f.m.c.s.r that says with your felony you cant drive a truck or they don't have to hire you. call you state authority's and ask

No one is trying to screw w/you, but its not likely. Part of the problem is the reason for your felony. Should you ever be involved in an accident, think of the hay day the attorneys would have w/the company. Also, you cannot enter Canada with any felony conviction. If your a driver in an area where a Canadian load becomes available, they don't want to be concerned if you can take it or not.

Think about it, this gob puts peoples lives at risk. My family uses the same roads as the big trucks. I for one sleep a little better knowing the industry draws some lines on who they hire.

Subject: answer to drug felony ?

Message: what A LOUSY ANSWER, YOU MUST BE A ILLEGAL ALIEN! did you ever hear of a second chance? maybe you will need 1 1 day . I paid my dues to society and I a,m clean and sober. may be I should go on welfare? this way you can pay my bills!!!!

To this I responded:

Lousy answer? Dude, that’s reality. Something wrong w/ you that can’t understand or know the laws. My guess is you knew the laws and (at least at one point in your life) made the decision they did not apply to you. Now, you expect an entire industry to change the way they do business and be financially responsible for someone that has proven in the past they cannot be responsible for themselves. For what? Just because Little Joey thinks he is all grown up and thinks he wants to drive a truck. And if we in the industry don’t hire you, well you’ll just go on welfare so “I can pay your bills”. Well I have news 4 u. Who the hell ya think paid them while you were locked up? Save yourself the time and us in the industry the time and sign up now. With that little boy attitude, you wouldn’t make it a month out on the road anyway. Grow up Little Joey. Time to me a man now.

What'd ya' do, bad boy?

If your conviction was based on the amount of detriment that you did to society, you've EARNED it. (Selling dope to kids for example. Violent crime associated with drugs, for another example.)

If you believe that the world owes you something because of your military service, well, you've got some benefits that a lot of people will never have. And that's something that you've earned.

If your "felony" is something that you can rightly say was "unfair" to you, there must be some circumstances that you could tell to a judge and perhaps have your records expunged. Do you think you have a chance? I mean, even murderers get out of jail and go on to do other things. But they can't be pre-school teachers in the public sector. Catholic schools will hire em' though.

Somebody somewhere will probably hire you but you'll have to pay your dues in lower wages until you can be trusted. That's the "game."

Look on the web, Yahoo Hot Jobs etc. If you have a drug conviction the wait is usually 10 years so you should be ok.
I think you have to look around more.
