Is it “false bravery”, partly due to the online "anonymity factor" (In other words, knowing there are very little, if any, consequences for disrespectful conduct)? Or do you think this is a natural crossover/reflection of an increasingly more angry and frustrated society? Or is it people simply goofing around, trying to be "cute online" and exhibiting bad taste/judgment in the process? ………... What do you suppose the reason(s) maybe?

Yes of course it is false bravery..Well, including the above there are many reasons why people do so..Its just that people are not spiritually connected and are less bothered about others..now that's being selfish. In better words,we would never like to be treated in such an insulting way as we do to others..We all are humans after all and whatever we do should be for the betterment of others or perhaps ourselves for that matter..

This is a very good question reflecting the society of today's.. I agree on the point of anonymity people can say anything. I also think this has a lot to do with the upbringing. I think parents of today don't spend or don't have time to spend on their children teaching them good habits and I think that is what results in this type of behaviour.

the last reason you gave. Most people think its cute to be mean. Especially when they know you cant do anything "physical" about it. Another reason may be because the question asked is so stupid it irritates you to a level of pissed off that you have no choice but to be mean and insult that individual.

false bravery that is sad isn't it..That is why I only answer those that I like and stay away from those that are increasingly rude all the time...

I think it is a combination of all of those things. Personally, I enjoy slandering people that I don't agree with because a lot of people are stupid.

It's probably a mixture of all the things you have stated.
Trying to decide which one is which is the hard part.
