There are people who simply drift along, searching for somewhere they belong to in this world. Looking for a place to call their own, they want to know where they stand in life. Years go by, but the answers might still be unknown to them, even til their very last breath on their deathbeds. Maybe that's what this journey called life is all about.
But living life is never a waste. When we have somebody to love and something to hope for, we learn to embrace the true beauty of life. Cherish every moment of your life because once it's gone, it will never come back. Sometimes you miss it so badly that it hurts inside.

a home is a place where you feel "at home"
basically, you can fart without feeling embarassed.
Whereever you go, if home is where you would like to come back to, it is an ideal home.
In your case you are not comfortable with your parents for the moment, and think that your spouse living with you will make a better home for you. You may be right but it is not guaranteed....
Imagine, your spouse might be working, imagine when you will have young kids, living with your parents will make a better home for you and your kids. This is the art of living in Asia - and it has its own advantages.
Anyway, it is individual choice and it is the collective effort of everybody at home that makes a house a sweet home.

Home is a warm, comforting, environment where the smell of home cooked meals fill the kitchen, where family eat meals together at the table, where each ones room is ones private cosy zone, where everyone enjoys the good times, and comfort each other in difficult times, where there is always support , great respect , and love for each one and everyone helps each other when needed. It's a very important place indeed. That's my definition and how I keep my home.

HOME is the one place you would like to return to when you are feeling both physically and mentally tired. It is about the one and only place that you will find peace and comfort, safe from all the external threats or disturbances elsewhere. And surely a place you would like to go home and sleep after a long day at work. :)

Unfortunately HAVING to live with anyone, parent or otherwise, makes one a dependant. Choosing to share your life with someone, partner or children, makes a structure a home. Nothing on earth is better than having Wally, Beaver & Betty Sue (spouses included) hanging around the house with Ward & I.

For me, home is where my parents are. I don't live with them anymore, but for me, home will always be where they are and the best food will always be from my mom's kitchen, and a smell of home, real home, can only be there and nowhere else. So for me that definition is totally opposite than yours.
