I am in the process of connecting my 2 computers. The computers can ping to each other but I dont know what numbers to enter in the internet protocol (TCP/IP) Properties for the default gateway? Can anyone help.

The modern method is to use a router and wireless connection ideally on broadband for speed - generally with 2 computers trying to use a slow dial up would be very unreliable.
