Unless you know exactly when she ovulates then there is no magical day that it's ok to have sex without worrying about pregnancy. Even if you know the date she ovulates it's not always safe because alot of things can cause ovulation to be erratic. Any time you have unprotected sex prepare for the worst. Unprotected sex should be saved for marriage or a very long term relationship for those that don't plan to get married, and even then only if you are ready for the responsibility of a child.

First off, why would you suggest "safe sex" and "no condoms" in the same sentence, especially when the latter involves what you have. As for any other alternatives, there is: withdrawal, the act of pulling out before ejaculation, but it however has it's drawbacks since men emit pre-ejaculate (clear stuff) before they come; the other is planning out when the woman is ovulating so that way you can plan when and when not to have sex based on the days she is the most fertile and the days in which she is not the most fertile.
If you are virile, just break down and buy condoms. :)
