Liam Plunkett has been ruled out of the remaining 3 tests. What will happen next? Will England loose the series because Flintoff & Vaughan won't return so early. Will Pakistan win the next three tests? should James Anderson be chosen in place of injured Liam? How can England protect the series and the trophy?

This is really a testing time for English players.
I will answer your questions one by one so it will be clear.

Loosing a series just because that there are 2 good players short is not correct. If a team wins, it doesnt win due to a player or two. All the team members should play co-ordinatively. Then the Victory comes to the way.

Though Pakistan got the upper hand as some key players are out of the English side, it is not going to be that much easy for the Pakistanis to defeat the English team easily.

James Anderson should be included in the side of the England in the place of the injured Liam Plunkett. J Anderson is a very good player, Once if he gets the rithym then he is not going to be stopable.

Comming to the last questoin, Protecting the series from the England's point of view is some what a hard task. This can be done if the Captain, I think Andrew Strauss, uses the bowlers effectively and impinges the confidance and boost to the English team. He should play a most important role to make this series alive for England. The first test should have been won by England only.

Hope for the best in the up-comming matches and the series.

Well James Anderson should not be picked as he is currently recovering from a stress fracture of the back.
The obvious replacement for Plunkett is Sadjid Mahmood, who bowled some decent stuff against Sri Lanka in the Test series earlier this summer.
I expect Jamie Dalrymple will get chosen ahead of Monty Panesar too due to the fact that we need to have a bowler who can bat in the number 8 position, previously occupied by Giles and more recently Plunkett before this injury struck.
