Sometimes being single is whats best - couples always want you to believe the grass is greener on the other side. If you aren't ready for a relationship looking for one just causes stress. When the right person comes along at the right time then it will happen till then enjoy the single life.

Maybe they have other priorities. Some people get scared of not being "hitched". Others are just plain scared of being alone. Im happy for you because u have other priorities. Its ok not to be dating anybody. Don't just go with the flow especially if evryone u know is dating someone or is part of a couple. Just do your thing. Its a good thing that u know what u want and everyone will respect whatever it is u want in life.

Well... Being in a relationship is so great (most of the time)! When you are in a relationship it brings out the side of you that just being friends can't! I have been in the same relationship for 1 year and 6 months and it is the best thing i have ever done in my life. Live a little go find someone!

Sometimes people do feel as though they need someone to go on because they might have possible have lossed someone in a bad expierence and want someone to make up for it. Some people just like to be in a relationship. Really, everyone is different and likes independence ( my father) while my mother practicially needs to be in a relationship. So I guess it does seem like the majority of people do want to be in a relationship but there are some people out there who enjoy being not in one.

Maybe its that they want to take part in couples things with you and as you are single, they feel like its a strange mix, therefore try to hook you up to 'couple' you.
I think being independent is a great thing and gives you loads of freedom to do what you want and sort of grow into your own. Being part of a couple def has its benefits, too, like sharing the best and worst days with them.
I think its that more than just trying to find someone and not have to look any further.

You are absolutely right! The irony is that where society is so desperate to live in coupledom (this is portrayed in all media things; romantic couples and happy families) it is becoming more acceptable for a spouse to leave the family nest for 'greener pastures' reeking hurt and emotional damage within the discarded family. And bizarrely they move on to someone else's wrecked family. It is fast becoming some sort of sick destructive dance!

i guess some people just don't feel a whole person unless they have a partner, there is nothing attractive about desperate people, although they do attract like minded partners, i wish you all the luck in the world, be strong, be safe and be happy xx

You know how some people can be. They act like they can't function by themselves.
Pitiful...just pitiful.
