Yes it exists. I have personal knowledge of a man with a photographic memory. A book he reads once is dead to him no old favorites. Great for trivia and law practice . He is lawyer did not lose a case in one 5 year period. I do not think it can be trained . I looked in to it once over a decade ago , but if you hear different I would really love to learn.

Yes it does exist, and despite what *some* people will try to tell you that it is a "god given gift" and there fore can not be developed, you can develop ANY sense you have to be very fine tuned. Photographic memory is the brain retaining information which it sees, allowing the person to recall at will the mental image they have seen. Develop your powers of observation by looking at something for 30 seconds, then look away and without looking at it again, write down as many details as you can remember about it.

It does not develop overnight, but the more you work with it, the better you will become at it. Good luck and have fun!

People claiming "photographic memory" can be trained in someone without it are not understanding what it means to have photographic memory.

Everyone can practice flash memorization... a partial awareness of target information, with increased speed of rapid listing by visualizing as much as you can.

However, that is NOT photographic memory, which is an innate gift for rapid glance total recall of ALL detail seen, not just target information.

Someone with photographic memory can glance at someone once, and not only give a complete and thoroughly accurate description of the person, but ALSO of every element of the background (car passing a block away, tree(s), etc.).

Someone with photographic memory reads a book once, and ten years later can recite it, word-for-word, correctly, without ever reviewing it again.

With training and targeted exposure to information, someone with photographic memory can become a "walking computer," combined with a very human ability level for inferring, synthesizing, etc. that makes that person invaluable in such areas as science, math, law, military intelligence....

If you don't have it, you can approach it but never attain it. If you do have it, and train yourself in its use, you can be very a very formidable contributor to whatever career field you choose.

yes it does exist however it is a learning ability some learn by listening some by doing others by seeing if i look at something for a second i can remember it but only as an image thus meaning if i look at a page in a book it doesnt mean i actually read it but i can tell you anything on that page if you ask
as far as training im sure it can be with lots of work and with someone that already has some sort of ability

I believe that it exists, a child that a worked with could look round a room once, and tell you where everything was.He was also able to tell if anything had been moved the next time he went in said room. I don't believe that this can be taught but i do believe that there are techniques which help boost and improve ones abilities to remember things.

Yes it is true and it can be learned but it is helpful if it is already in play ( as the saying goes) If you can see something and retain it as a child and stay with it it can be helpful as a learning tool in school or business.
