Will it become an issue in upcoming elections?

Because the UN is a symbol of peaceful resolutions.
It does not work but that is what is suppose to be. If we pulled out we would look even worse and people would thing we have no interest in peace.

What was your source on that information? That doesn't seem accurate. And we don't get a vote on that, just like we don't get to vote whether or not we should go to war under false pretenses. I would hope it wouldn't be a major issue for the next election because that would mean that enough Americans are so ignorant that they think that pulling out of the UN is the answer.

Fact of the matter is, most Americans have woken up to republican false propaganda and have realized that when the Bush admin. doesnt get its way, they try to smear their opposer. IE, the UN didnt back them on the Iraqi war so they tried to smear the UN. Funny how now all of a sudden, the Bush admin. is fully supportive and accepting of UN help with Israel, Iran and N.Korea. Yea, now that Bush's admin. foreign affairs have put us on the verge of WW3.

When america wants legitimacy, they ask the un.When they get it,they form a un force of allies, and wage legitimate warWhen they don't get it they form a colition of the willing and wage war Sort of like hitler did.
