If Osama Bin Laden was responsible for the 911 attacks then why did we stop looking for him and got Sadam?

It seems that everyone has forgotten what the main focus of the war is about and now it's the USA against all forms of terrosists (a never ending war because the scope of being a terrositst can just be the words we use).

Because the war in Iraq has nothing to do with Osama. If you read the Downing Street memos and the news, you'll find that the US had started bombing Iraq 2 months before 9/11 !! That just wasn't so widely reported.
Osama was just incidental and convenient because he provided an excuse to move on full force with the Iraq invasion. If Osama were a top priority, then he would have been found, I assure you.

Excellent question. Some of the attackers had affiliations in Iraq, but Hussein had no direct role in 9/11. We just went after him because the American people needed a scapegoat, and he was easy to get to. (Don't get me wrong, Hussein is a total pr*ck and deserves what is coming to him, but at the time, we had bigger fish to fry.)

Now, if all questions like these would go to the mailboxes of the President and Congresspeople instead of here, we could convince them to stop lollygagging around and go after Bin Laden.

PS- America has some of the best technology in the world. We have satellites in space that can read a postage stamp from a sidewalk in NYC. We have thermal imaging that can find decaying bodies that are buried underground. And we can't find Osama? Please. There's more to the story than what's been given to us.

I was wondering the same thing. Saddam had nothing to do with 911 or terrorism. Iraq was already crippled by UN sanctions and did not pose threat to any country as its wepons capability had been destroyed in the first gulf war. Saddam may have been a brutal dictator but he had his plus points too. He was secular, modern and had liberal views. Iraq was the only muslim country giving its women equal rights.

You know I asked htat question before. It's like everyone forgot who was behind the attacks. his name was osama not sadaam. They justified it like nipping terrorism in the bud. Going to the source which they called sadaam. Yet, there is a thinly veiled and obvious scent of opportunity in the invasion of Iraq. We wouldn't have done the same for a country that wans't so rich in resources.
