Did anyone have a dream that someone died and they did?

I did can anyone explain why?

I did, unfortunately, and blame myself everyday over it.

I had a dream (this happened back in 1998) that my dad had passed away and my mom and I were standing in the closet looking at his clothes, wondering if we should leave them alone, or put them away. That is all the dream was.......I didn't know HOW he had died, I just knew that he had died.

Two days later, on May 29, 1998, he had a sudden, massive heartattack, and passed. I'm still trying to figure out why I had that dream. A lot of people don't believe me, but, the ones who do think it was an esp thing. I'm not sure. But I do blame myself, wondering if things would have been different had I told someone about the dream. Maybe it was esp, or maybe God was preparing me in some way? I don't see how anyone could really be prepared for something like that, though. I suppose I'll never find out why. But one thing is for sure.....ever since then, I pay close attention to all my dreams! I do believe they each have a true meaning.

Yes. I dreamt that my boyfriend's mum died.

I had only met her fleetingly in the street, as we didn't exactly see eye to eye. I had a really vivid dream of her funeral, in which I was comforting my bf and the rest of his family. It was scary and quite strange. Although I tried to think no more of it, I couldn't help a niggle at the back of my mind.

It didn't happen until about 9 months after the dream. She was taken into intensive care (by then, I had met her, and we had made friends etc...) I was praying for her along with her family, but I sort of knew what was going to happen. I hated that.

At the funeral, it was basically an exact replay of my dream. Horrible.

I think what happens is we may pick up signals, even if we don't know someone too well, like signals of ill health. When my mum was pregnant with my sister, she didn't tell me for a couple of months, but I kept asking her if she was OK. It was strange, I knew something was different. I think this may be what happened here, and possibly what may have happened to you.

There is a lot about the human mind we don't yet understand, as it goes beyond science.

Everyone has had a dream that they die....of course not actually dying until years later. I heard that if you sleep on the top bunk of a bed and dream you are falling off a cliff then you really fall off your bed and can die.. that would suck.

But the true answer to this question is we will never know because if anyone DID have a dream about dying...then they are already dead!

I've heard that sometimes, human brain can be altered, in such way. Perhaps, you dreamt of some other people's death, then after several days later, you see someone close to you died, your memory about your dream altered, from the other person's death to the actually dying person.

So basically, your memory about the dream is altered by the actual incidence, and you become believeing that you've dreamed about his/her death.

Yes I have... and many times. The only reasoning I have been able to come up with for this is generally a close connection to this person.... this not always being the case, but it's the only one that I know anything about personally!

No...but I have dreams of them that make no sense...and then discover they have passed on. I don't know why this is...perhaps their spirits knew and came to me in my dream; to tell me they are okay. Sometimes...after the fact...I will look back in hindsight and realize there were many clues I didn't understand at the time...or that simply escaped my attention.

Many have vision of someone dear to them dying and they did. Certain rarefied minds have the capacity to sense them.

No but i did phone work in sick and said my gran died then she did 2 days later.I don't mind though cos she was nasty to me.

i dreamt I died once, quite vividly, but I snapped out of it. Kind of ruined my morning.
