Yes and so are 51% of Americans who voted republican in 2004.
As for the rocket scientist who called it a mandate, Newsflash...51% is hardly a mandate! Also don't forget the the 2000 election, you know, the one bush lost. That's right, bush got 50,456,002 votes to Al Gores 50,999,879 votes. It wasn't until they let bush's little brother count the votes that he won the the electoral college vote.
Back in 1992, President Clinton beat bush sr. with 49% of the popular vote to bush's dismal 41% That's pretty much getting your *** handed to you when you are the incumbent President! And, oh yeah, the Electoral College score for 1992...Clinton 379, bush 159. And the funny thing is, I don't remember the Democrats thumping their chests claiming a "Mandate"! You guys really make me laugh!

I think that Bush has a personal agenda and takes too many liberties.

As for "MANDATE", you would need 3 things, Majority vote of electoral colleges, The popular vote, and the Majority of the populous who (can) vote in The United States.

He only has ONE out of THREE. He doesn't have the popular vote nor the majority.

The previous person who ran against him was a wussy. That is why Bush is in office. GWB may have a "Gallant Cause", but I think he is doing more harm than good with international relations than the presidents of the last 40 years!

Yes, he is a moron. That's not an opinion, there's empirical evidence for that.

As a psychology graduate student I'm always reading about assessment, and I recently came across a study where researchers rated ex-Presidents IQs based on speech content analysis.

Most presidents, Republican and Democrat were rated above 140. Nixon, Clinton, Kennedy, all showed well above average capacity for complex thought.

Bush has a mere 115, which is what your average Joe has. Repetitive, superificial, shallow prefabricated ideas. He's obviously not retarded (he's above the median), but he's pretty low for a president.

The answer to that question (for you or any single person) would be the answer to this:
Are you a moron?

PS if it takes/took you more than 1 minute to answer and/or read the above the answer/question is automatically yes.
