Illumination is the brightness measured in Lumen's. I.E Luminescent. A 1 watt bulb has less lumen's than a 40 watt bulb. Basically the brightness. Wave length is the frequency in which the light wave travels.

illumination is inversely proportional to wavelength. if the wavelength is small,the intensity of illumination will be high and vice versa.
