Absolutely true. Intelligent people that keep company with not so intelligent folks tend to 'dumb' themselves down. They will do and say the same types of dumb things to gain acceptance.

Try to hang out with people who you know are truly your friends. "Idiots" are usually the people who do things just to look cool and fit in with everyone else. Just be yourself. I am sure you are a great person. You won't necessarily become an idiot, but you will definately look like one if you hang with them.

100% true. Your future is decided on how/when/who/where/ your ideas , behaviour, thoughts, are floating in your mind. If you hanging out with great peoples you could get great ideas and become a great person.
if you are hanging out bad bahaviour peoples you also become the same personality.
So try to hangout with great personalities.
