I need to make sure I have the newest drivers for the vid card on the computer I just purchased...

I went to the ATI website and can not find what I am looking for, can anyone link to where I can find the newest drivers for:

ATI Radeon Xpress 200 Series (256mb)

I downloaded this Catalyst utility thing, but no where, not even in the help files does it talk about display drivers...

Follow the link below, click on "Windows XP Drivers and Software", then click on "Motherboards with ATI Graphics", next click on "Catalyst 6.6 Windows XP - Motherboard/IGP Drivers", move down until you find "Display Driver", and click "Download." Once you've got it downloaded, run it, and your done. You might want disable any antivirus software during installation, sometimes the drivers won't properly install if they're on. I would have pasted a direct link to the download, but ATI won't let me. Hope that helps.

Beware - the ATi Catalyst drivers are not for your ATi Radeon Xpress 200. What brand of PC are you using? Some PC makers list the appropriate drivers for their products on their website.

I currently own a Dell XPS 1210 lappy with the Nvidia GeForce Go 7400 (256mb) and I cant get the drivers from the Nvidia website. However, my drivers for the Geforce Go card is listed on the Dell webpage...

So it may do you a bit of good to just check out the PC makers' website as I had the same issues too....Good luck & hav fun eh...

Hmmm, you're quite right to be confused... I just tried to find the drivers for the Xpress 200 and the ONLY mention of a driver for it was for LINUX!

BTW, according to the instalation instructions, Catalyst does NOT list the Xpress 200 as one of the cards the drivers are for....

For the record.... ATI has a VERY BAD REP for providing drivers and even worse for keeping them updated.... Just ask most any Nvidia card owner.......

properly you may no longer quite uninstall the drives for the previous card in the past you put in the hot card because of the fact no longer something with show video on your workstation then so deploy the hot card on your workstation and then as quickly as the drivers are put in on the workstation then uninstall the previous drivers In much less your training inform you in yet otherwise that come inclusive of your video card it is going to tell you how to place in a clean video card even once you have already got one on your workstation
