The fish are smarter. That two second memory thing about goldfish is a lie. It's the golden retriever that can't remember anything past two minutes.

I can train a betta, and a gold snail both to come out of the water and eat from my hand, but nobody knows how to make a dog even shut up for a minute.

How smart your dog is would depend on how smart you are.

I dont think you could compare the fish and the dog. Each have their own capabilities but a dog can definitely do more than a fish.

"smart' isn't only matter of brain brain volume. For some samples, ants created high tech farming system and advance inventory system, consist of thousand and even million member in a comunity but none of them are sufer!
Some of fish smart but it's a gift, let's say chiclids they keep their jouvenile inside their mouth. n lots other.
