I would have to say it is one of the best shows on TV. Very good writting, great characters, very moving. Would I want a doctor like thatin real life? Of course i would. Give me the sarcasim and insults any day. I can take them.
I have the first season on DVD and I'm buying season 2 when it comes out.

House is one of the best show in years. I would not mind having a doctor like him, and I have . I would rather have somebody who knows medicine like he does and be sarcastic and rough the way he is than the doctor who honey's and sweeties you, but doesn't know what he is doing. EVERYBODY LIES, but I am not!

I like House but I doubt if he talked to me like he does to some of those patients I would allow him into the room. Of course if I have something wrong that only a man like that could figure out, I would probably put up with it for a little while. I love it too and own the first season as well. I think the guy rocks and uses his insults and all to hide the softer side of himself so he doesn't get hurt. Good question!!!!

My sentiments exactly. House rocks, hands down. And yes, all of us could use a doctor like him in real life. He's in your face, will take zero **** from anybody, and even though his motives are questionable, he doesn't give up your case until he figures out what's wrong with you, and most of his patients walk out better from him. Who wouldn't want to have that in a real-life doctor? Of course, you do have to take his sarcasm with a double-edged sword, but hey, not everybody is perfect. He is, I believe, deep down a caring person, but you have to peel it out of this guy bit by bit to admit it. Great doctor though and you would want a guy like that on your side when you're seriously sick.

I love that show! However I think it would terrify me if I were to encounter someone like him in real life. I appreciate his relentless nature in finding out what really ails his patients but I would also appreciate some kindness out of my doctor.

I LOVE IT!! He's awesome! I wouldn't want him as my doctor (unless I was dying of something wierd) but he's great. And the Woman doctor on his team is gorgeous!

Yes, definitely. Wish I had one now, as most doctors around here seem to know sh*t.... I would hope that he wouldn't be too mean though;-)
