When and how was the 1st time that u heard of "Masturbate"? What was your 1st impression?

For me, i heard it when i was 16 years old. My friend told me that she kissed a guy(who likes her) in the lift and her kiss is quite sweet. But then a few days later she said she was sick of him, coz she heard that the guy masturbate!
I have no idea what does this vocab mean at that time; But since my friend said it is disgusting, i assume that it is a very bad thing to do...
Till now, after i got know the real meaning, i cannot help to laugh at me that how i misunderstood lol

My boyfriend told me. We were talking about something then he asked me, "You don't masturbate?" I said "what's that?" He told me and I said "no". I'm 17 and he's 20. Ya, I'm kinda "sheltered" for my age. I was/am still so grossed out about masturbation. It's so gross and dirty; think of all the bacteria going up your body...ew.

Learned the term with sex education, Supposedly i learned that it's a healthy way to relieve stress and give the body pleasure, Gross much!

don't remember I know I started really young but I'm not sure when or why or what got me started kinda weird now that I think about it.
