If you want to increase your profits then you can upgrade to the Silver level with a small investment of only $10 per month.
Of course how much time, effort and advertising you put into it will effect your sales and profits.

By definition, you don't start a "successful" business as opposed to starting an "unsuccessful" business. You only start a business. Being successful is also a relative term. If you meet your obligations and the business still looses money, but you are able to keep the doors open, are you successful?
Bad credit is a hinderance only. It shouldn't be a deterrent. Stop using it as an excuse! You may not be able to start your "dream" business right away so the best thing to do is take the steps that you are able to make and build up to the "dream" business. For instance, if you want to own a car wash (it could be anything) but you don't have the investment capital and don't think that you could get it. You could start working at a carwash to learn the trade. You could start a detailing shop or mobile detailing business and begin building up a clientele. You would begin looking for the piece of land that you want to build your future car wash on or begin looking for existing car washes that are for sale or might be for sale some day and begin planning.
While doing all those things, you should be working on improving your credit. Pay your bills on time, don't assume anymore unnecessary credit, etc. Begin to network and look for people who could help you reach your goal of owning your own car wash. For example, stop by your local bank and offer to detail their cars. After a while, you will be on a first name basis with these people and they will see what you are capable of and would be more willing to lend you the money at some point! Are you getting the idea!!!!
In the meantime, I am a real estate agent/investor/ mortgage broker with a company that is open to everyone and offers a life changing opportunity if you are interested. Email me for details.

If you have enough investment capital you're credit will not be an issue. If you have bad credit acquireing startup capital will be difficult. You're best bet will be to create a very solid business plan. A plan which includes very specific numbers (expenses, anticipated min and max month by month income for the first year, etc.) Also, examples of similar businesses in the local and national area showing profitability will help. You will of course need to show that you have exceptional business and management skills and you will need to have an extemely convincing reason about why your current credit is less than perfect.
