I have been taking Femostan for nearly 2 years, purely because of flushes. I do live in a hot climate but the flushes have come back now the temperatures are soring, What do other people take and do they work to stop flushes completeley?
Please don't tell me to go to the doctor as they are not very good.

fans none tight clothes you be fine but i would go back as the medication may not be working

When the hot flushes come along, I sit there and try to visualise soemthing nice in my mind, until they pass on. The thing is, there is nothing out there to stop these affects from occuring, and as you probably know, it is the fluctuations in hormones, the dilatation and contraction of the vessels in the body according to the hormones released..that cause the flushes to occur.

If you don't want to go to a doctor, is there a Well Woman Clinic near where you live? Or, ask to see another doctor. This is something you need to seek medical advice on, not the opinions of ill-informed people on the internet!

I have been taking black cohosh from the health food store and find it controls my sweats and flushes but I also drink plently of water and avoid coffee.
