Yes, I love the inventor, Mr. Central Air Conditioner [weird name], myself. [Wonder what his nickname was, Cenny, Airy, Condy?] I had some spark of intuition a few years ago, and finished my basement. Finished, not fancy. I go down there to keep cool, and come upstairs to sleep when it is cool in the early morning. Not an original ideas, but it works.
The hot weather requires the ingestion of a lot of ice cream, and a lot of shopping in cool malls. It does not require any mowing of my yard. And no cooking, either. I could not possibly run the oven and heat up the house. LOL, and they say it is getting worse, climate wise.

We keep all the blinds closed on our house to keep it cool so our AC doesn't have to work as hard. It saves on the electric bill! But its kinda like living in a cave becasue theres not much light. It works though.
Drink lots of water when you're outside!
Temps in 90's and 100's here in Houston!
