Shorten your memory. Learn to forget. Let it go. These are among the hardest things in human psychology.

Thomas Edison once said that there is no such thing as failure. There is something to be learned in every event. Take the learning and leave the anxiety behind.

Forgive yourself and forget it.

You're not alone. I make plenty of mistakes everyday and sometimes I get really frustrated at myself. But I soon learned that a mistake will help one not do that mistake again in the future. So what you can do is to accept the fact that you made a mistake today and that there is nothing you can do about it if it was yesterday, but certainly you can at least try to make your tomorrow better. Forgive yourself but at the same time discipline yourself, learn something from your mistake. It won't go smoothly at first but be dilligent and soon your mistake will appear as if you never had it. But always look to God for help. Because victory is only through Christ.

the gravity of the mistake often dictates the degree and length of " devastation".For example if you make a mistake on a math quiz it wouldn't, or at least it shouldn't, be as devastating as running over your grandmother in the driveway. Learn from your mistakes and do you're best not to repeat the same ones. Hey my friend, making mitstakes is a part of life--if you don't make mistakes your not trying,if your not trying you're not living, and if you're not living you're dead--so be thankful you're around to make mistakes.

People with clear conscience only get devasted over a mistake committed. There is no need for others to help you. Your concern for that will enhance your reputation as days go by and you will learn to live with that.

dwelling on things doesn't get you anywhere. you just need to remind yourself that the world wont come to a halt if u stuff up. everybody makes mistakes from time to time, and in the majority of cases, they aren't huge mistakes in the scheme of things. I had issues with perfectionism when i was a bit younger. Whenever i did a stupid mistake on a test id feel really disheartened and not want to try anymore. I talked to a lot fo people about it and a teacher of mine said that she knew of a friend who accidentally killed someone. Compare your mistakes to ones like that. Ask yourself, did my mistake hurt anybody? Did it cost somebody their life? If it did neither, then try to laugh about it, or just realise that stuffing up is a part of being human.

you first have to realize that mistakes are just lessons waiting for us to learn. That is what you must do when you make a mistake (and believe me I have made my share). If you learn what you did wrong - why you consider it a mistake - and what you can do next time to fore go this mistake, then in reality is just a life lesson. If we went through life without these life lessons, how would we learn who we want to be in life?

life is a series of pulls back and forth. you want to do one thing, but you are bound to do something else. something hurts you, yet you know it shouldnt. you take certain things for granted, even when you know you should never take anything for granted. a tension of opposites, like a pull on a rubber band. and most of us live somehwere in the middle. sounds like a wrestling match, so which side wins?

love wins. love always win.

Just move on. We all do mistakes once in a while, it happens, it's human nature. So just move on, find something new to do that you're sure you'll succed, so that you're self confidence can come back.

You are a perfectionist, don't beat yourself up (or down.) Begin to think of yourself as tenacious, persevering, and hard working. Think about what you are going to do RIGHT today, not what you did wrong yesterday. Pray! God has given us forgiveness through Christ, surely you can forgive yourself.
