I do think the jewish community has a powerful financial say in the USA but I dont think that is the reason for support.

I think it is more that the USA played a role in the creation of Israel; thereby, we committed ourself to their existence.

I don't agree with this but hope that explains it to you.

1. Balance of power. The Americans need a bloc in the Middle East to balance the power of the Islamic nations. The more pro-American nations in the Middle east, the more power can shift to the West.

2. Jews in America vote as a bloc. Jews have a high voting percentage rate (showing up to vote) and usually vote together for the same party.

3. America is a Christian nation, and according to the Bible, the Jews are the chosen people. Therefore, for religious reasons, Americans do not want to see the Holy Land in the hands of Muslims.

Israel is the spectacular us of a on earth the position you're able to have, signs and indicators, which say that such and such ethnicity isn't allowed. Israel has damaged each and every safe practices Council determination, that has ever been handed. And beforehand you commence criticizing the UN, undergo in options that a secure practices Council determination can purely be handed if each and every of the 5 veto preserving powers, which comprise u . s ., agree. So, Israel is infrequently an best pal, by way of the actuality that its going against what the U. S. needs. Israel attacked a US military deliver contained in the united statesLiberty contained in the Mediterranean and has stolen US technologies and purchased it to China. See China J-10 fighter for information. for sure, it is the right of all international locations to settle on which international places they favor to have as best pal's. besides the undeniable fact that with allys like Israel, who needs enemy's?

One day ppl will realize that their hatred against Israel will backfire.
Bush should answer yr question. Not people here who think theyknow it all and attack every single country they think they dont like and perhaps have never even been there.

Israel do you know what that name means?
= "governed by God"
unfurtunately not many people know that. right now Jesus needs to come back and quick before all gets destroyed in the Holy Land.

Yes some say that it is because of economic interests, perhaps it goes beyond that, and no its not because there are many Jews in the US.

There are good people in every country, but the ignorant choose to say what comes to their uneducated minds and thnk they have the best answer.
I dont have all the answers for you, but I do know that when things become more chaotic (moooore) somethng grander than any of us or much less people here, will witness and hopefully realize the answer and the meaning of Israel.

People who hate religion and Christians usually hate Israel.

America always comes as a Knight in Shining armor everytime a nation or state is in trouble. Their assistance to Israel is only part of their aganda of becoming a superpower nation. Economy-wise, US also gain out of this conflict by providing weapons to the Israeli government. Having jews in the US is only a secondary reason why US helped Israel this time.

While this may be a factor, consider the following:

1. The US was the primary proponent in the founding of the state of Israel -- sort of making it their 'baby;'

2. The middle east already has very few stable states with little or no chance of radical fundamentalism in the medium-term. Can you imagine the middle east without them? The islamic countries will likely turn on each other -- shiites vs. sunnis -- while the more peaceful ones will be cowering in fear or waiting for some other radicals to take them over.

In this situation...they were attacked and they have the right to defend themselves. The US has always sided with any country that has been in this situation and that's a fact. Israel is a democracy that is trying to survive in an area of the world where being a democracy is unique. We have common values just like Canada, England and Australia and if any of them happened to be attacked we would support them as well. We need to understand that our country is good and does good in the world despite what Hollywood or the media would like us to believe. I could go on and on but I'll stop ranting here...

America support israel because it is 100% under its pressure. The economy is basically controlled by zionist and not supporting it would result in economy depression which the zionist have threatened.
Israel an American Value?
Torture and summary executions were not American values until we prostituted ourselves for the sake of Israel, thus adopting their policies, programs and procedures, despite the conflicts with our constitution and stated principles.
Though these actions violate every principle the United States is founded on, we support and protect these policies in Israel and engage in them in Iraq and Afghanistan making the term, "American values" the ultimate oxymoron.

It's not the Jews we have to worry about. Their Democratic system and values are much more in line with our own than any of the Arab countries over there. It's those nutty Islamic extremist fanatics we need to wory about. Israel has the same problem with them as we do. I'm not Jewish, but all of the anti-semitism doesn't make any sense.

Israel was formed by people who migrated from many countries a major contributor being the US. Many political and technical organisation are headed by jews in US and many US war heads are being designed by them. As a matter of fact many of the weapons in US are supplied by Israeli Military industries. So if all these facts are there then how can they not support them
