Not sure about 'marcedonia'. Macedonia is a nation on the Balkan Peninsula (southeastern Europe). It is also the name of a region of Greece (which is also a nation on the Balkan Peninsula).

Well, that's my homeland and amazing place. It's in the southern Europe, on the Balkan Peninsula bordering, Greece, Bulgaria, Albania and Serbia. Most of the ppl are orthodox Macedonians, but there are also other nations living here. The most beautiful places are Ohrid, Skopje (the capital of the country), Mavrovo, Krusevo, Struga, Kratovo, Galichnik...
Did you know that Mother Teresa was born in Skopje?

It is not officially called Macedonia since Macedonia is a region in Greece. The country is called FYROM which is for Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia
